New Block Paving & Gravel Pathway Installation

The client wanted to upgrade an outdated concrete area outside their back door with a more attractive and practical solution. We installed a new block paved seating area with a gravel pathway, improving both drainage and overall appearance.

Project Scope: Replacing Old Concrete Hardstanding with Modern Paving

The client had an existing concrete hardstanding area directly outside the back door, along with a pathway running along the rear of the property. Over time, the concrete had become worn and unattractive, detracting from the overall look of the garden space. The client requested a refreshed layout incorporating a black block paved area complemented by a gravel pathway to create a more visually appealing and functional outdoor space.

Build Process: Concrete Removal, Ground Preparation & New Surface Installation

Our team began by carefully breaking out and removing the existing concrete hardstanding and pathway, ensuring all waste material was properly cleared and responsibly disposed of. Once the area was prepared, we installed a new sub-base to provide a solid and stable foundation for the new surfaces. We then laid the black block paving to form a neat and durable area directly outside the back door, creating a practical space for everyday use. A gravel pathway was also installed alongside, offering effective drainage and a complementary finish. Despite being a relatively small-scale project, the work was completed with the same attention to detail and quality as larger jobs.

Project Outcome: Stable, Well-Drained & Visually Improved Outdoor Area

The completed installation provided the client with a level and stable surface immediately outside their property, making the space far more usable and accessible. The combination of block paving and gravel not only enhanced the overall appearance but also significantly improved drainage, preventing the formation of standing water. The result is a clean, low-maintenance outdoor area that better suits the client’s needs and improves the functionality of the space.
